About this Edition
The Birmingham-based Advanced Engineering is the United Kingdom’s leading trade fair in its field. Its 2026 edition will be held on 4 and 5 November at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC). Two related events, UK Metals Expo and Lab Innovations, will take place simultaneously. Approximately 9,000 visitors will benefit from additional cross-sector collaboration opportunities.
Advanced Engineering 2026 will host more than 400 exhibitors showcasing innovative technologies and solutions with applications in numerous industries. Six thematic tracks will facilitate navigation through the myriad of product displays, live demonstrations, service presentations and forum sessions:

- Research and Design Engineering
- AI, Automation and Digitalisation
- People and Skills
- Clean Energy and Net Zero
- Government, Regional Hubs and Supply Chain
In addition to the discussions at the exhibition stands, networking and information exchange at Advanced Engineering 2026 will be centred on six stages, each with a specific focus. Their themes will include additive manufacturing, aerospace, automation, mobility, composite engineering and electronics and semiconductors.
