About this Edition
The 63rd ERA Congress took place in Glasgow, Scotland, from 3 to 6 June 2026. Nephrology professionals from Europe and beyond convened at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) to exchange research findings, learn about the latest developments in kidney health, and form new connections. The event featured over 90 exhibitors, 250 speakers, and attracted 9,000 attendees.
ERA Congress 2026 reaffirmed its role as a significant event within the scientific community. The presence of manufacturers, experts, and clinicians from more than 120 countries fostered international cooperation, contributing to advancements in kidney care. Under the motto “Open your mind, challenge your thinking”, the congress provided structured information and practical insights across seven main tracks:
- Physiology, Cell Biology and Genetic Diseases
- Glomerular and Tubulo-interstitial Diseases
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Dialysis
- Kidney Transplantation
- Hypertension and Diabetes
- AKI and Critical Care Nephrology
Throughout the event, participants engaged in a variety of initiatives and networking activities, discussing crucial topics in both formal and informal settings. The programme included symposia, creative labs, lectures, and awards. Sessions such as Artificial intelligence for Nephrologists, Beyond the Usual Suspects: Rare Genetic Kidney Disorders in Clinical Practice, and Public health and CKD were among the highlights.
