About this Edition
FOOD EXPO 2022, the largest and most significant Food & Beverage trade show in Southeast Europe, took place in Athens, Greece. The event saw a strong comeback in person from 12 to 14 March 2022 at the Metropolitan Expo exhibition centre. On 12 and 13 March, the expo ran from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, while on 14 March, it concluded at 6:30 pm.
Throughout the show, over 1,200 exhibitors from Greece and abroad showcased their products. The event also welcomed around 2,500 key food traders, with 700 participating in the Hosted Buyer Program 2022, leading to over 12,000 B2B meetings. Product categories ranged from Ice cream and Sweets to Spices, herbs, and Canned Food. Notable exhibitors included 40FOOD, Amit Dairy, BIOLAB, among others, who presented their latest products and innovations.
During the event, a digital edition of FOOD EXPO 2022 ran parallel to the physical exhibition. This was facilitated through a custom-made digital platform, FOOD EXPO Digital, which allowed exhibitors to connect with Greek and international traders via video call or live chat. The digital space remained open for an additional 10 days post the in-person exhibition.
