About this Edition
FSB, the cornerstone event for the public space, sports, and leisure industry, took place at Messe Cologne from 24 – 27 October 2023. FSB 2023, co-located with aquanale, attracted an international audience, emphasizing its significance for industry stakeholders.
The event adopted a hybrid format, catering to both in-person and virtual attendees. The IAKS Congress was a focal point, presenting workshops and discussions on developing sustainable communities and managing eco-friendly sports and leisure facilities. Messe Cologne's halls were organized into themed areas, featuring sport facility planning, playgrounds, and urban design services.
Throughout the show, exhibitors had opportunities to engage with architects, municipal representatives, and sports club managers. The IOC and IPC, in collaboration with IAKS, presented medals for outstanding sports and leisure architecture at FSB, with a special emphasis on sustainability and inclusivity.
