About this Edition
Gamescom 2025 took place in Cologne, Germany, from 20 to 24 August, with a special pre-show event, Opening Night Live, on 19 August. This event set the stage for what was an immersive experience for the global games industry. During the event, nearly 1,500 companies showcased their latest offerings to over 335,000 visitors at Messe Cologne.
Throughout the show, attendees had the chance to explore a diverse range of digital, board, and card games, meet with creators, and delve into the indie and retro areas. More than 32,000 professional visitors accessed exclusive information on emerging trends and technologies not yet available to the public.
The gamescom congress, held at the Confex conference centre, highlighted the multifaceted role of games in economic, cultural, and political contexts. Meanwhile, the gamescom invest circle pitch competition connected innovative game studios with potential investors.
In addition, the gamescom business area, open from 20 to 22 August, provided a dedicated space for exhibitors, trade professionals, and select journalists to network and discuss potential collaborations.
