About this Edition
In 2026, Paris hosted the annual ISTH Congress from 11 to 15 July at Pavilion 7 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. More than 6,000 delegates specializing in thrombosis and haemostasis attended the 34th edition of this internationally renowned event to expand their knowledge, reunite with peers, and establish new connections.
The programme of the ISTH 2026 Congress included plenary sessions, symposia, round table discussions, debates, case studies, lectures, poster sessions, forums, masterclasses, early career sessions, and other special events. These sessions provided valuable insights into the latest research findings, emerging diagnostic methods and therapies, and career development opportunities. New product presentations and live demonstrations kept participants informed about innovations in the field.
As per tradition, the ISTH Congress featured four special sessions covering unconventional topics:
- Prescribing a museum: When culture becomes a therapeutic adjunct on 11 July
- Noise, air pollution, climate change, and cardiovascular disease on 13 July
- From control to chaos: Mechanisms shaping venous thromboembolism on 14 July
- VWD - 100 years of science: What’s new after a century of investigations on 15 July
The dates of the ISTH 2026 Congress were significant for professionals in the field. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research and network with experts.
