About this Edition
The annual jazzahead! in Bremen convened the international jazz community from 28 April to 1 May 2022. This premier event, after recent disruptions, once again became the hub for German and global jazz professionals. Musicians, labels, agencies, festival organizers, bookers, and media representatives gathered to network, discover emerging talent, and revel in the vibrant performances that define jazz.
Known affectionately as the "Family Reunion of Jazz," the event in Bremen offered four days brimming with opportunities. Over 200 exhibitors connected with more than 3,500 music professionals and a public audience of 20,000. The Showcases featured both established jazz artists and promising newcomers, providing a platform for attendees to experience the breadth of the genre.
During the event, Canada was spotlighted as the partner country, contributing a diverse cultural program that extended across the city. Performances, dance theatre, and movie nights culminated in a GALA CONCERT that marked the finale of the event.
