MATKA 2022, held in Helsinki, was the largest travel fair in Northern Europe. Following a year's hiatus, the 2022 event marked a significant reunion for the travel industry, welcoming over 60,000 consumers and 20,000 trade visitors from around the globe between 19 - 23 January 2022.

With more than 1000 tour operators and travel destination representatives, the event showcased a diverse range of travel offers. Throughout the show, the programme provided excellent B2B and B2C opportunities, including trade-exclusive days and public access days. During the business-focused days, the MATKA Business Forum and the MATKA Workshop Day facilitated over 7,000 pre-scheduled meetings, allowing domestic and international companies to engage with potential partners.

The latter part of MATKA opened its doors to a broad audience of eager travellers. Greece, as the partner country for 2022, featured prominently alongside destinations from across the world. Attendees were treated to inspirational travel talks, travelogues, and presentations on trending topics in the travel sector.
