About this Edition
SPIEL 2024, held from 3 to 6 October at Messe Essen, was a significant gathering for the card and board game community. Nearly 1,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries showcased their latest offerings to an audience of around 147,000 visitors from 100 countries. Notable companies such as Kosmos, Asmodee, and Days Of Wonder, among others, presented a variety of board, dice, and card games.
Throughout the show, the InnoSPIEL awards celebrated innovative game concepts, while the Deutsche Spiele Preis recognized outstanding board games for families, adults, and children. Educator's Day provided a platform for dialogue between publishers, educators, and scientists, focusing on the intersection of board games and learning.
