The 35th edition of the Congress of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases took place from 11 to 15 April 2025 at Messezentrum Vienna. Known as ESCMID Global, the event gathered over 16,000 professionals from around the world, fostering a dynamic exchange of knowledge within the field of infectious diseases.

Throughout the show, the ESCMID Global Programme Committee (EPC) curated a robust scientific program. It covered a wide range of topics, from clinical microbiology and infection control to public health. Renowned scientists, policymakers, and practitioners convened to address critical issues and share their expertise.

During the event, attendees experienced a variety of educational formats. These included oral presentations, interactive workshops, and keynote addresses. The Clinical Grand Round was a highlight, with six internationally recognized physicians discussing seven challenging cases in infectious diseases.

Trainee ID physicians from ESCMID and IDSA contributed to the event's educational value. They presented cases during a two-hour session, which spurred engaging discussions with seasoned professors.
