About this Edition
The Leipzig Book Fair, known as Leipziger Buchmesse in German, marked its 79th edition in Leipzig, Germany, from 27 to 30 March 2025. This event is a key European gathering for the book and media industry, featuring a diverse assembly of participants, including readers, authors, publishers, and media professionals from over 40 countries.
Throughout the show, the fair presented a rich tapestry of literature, with five thematic worlds encompassing Fiction/Non-fiction, Children and Youth, Education, Travel, Music, Literature, Authors@Leipzig, Book Art & Graphics, and more. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with the latest literary trends, network with peers, and gain insights into the evolving landscape of the industry.
In addition to the main event, the Leipzig Book Fair was held concurrently with two other significant events. The Manga-Comic-Con (MCC) captivated visitors with signing sessions, anime screenings, and vibrant cosplayers. Meanwhile, Leipzig liest provided a platform for publishers and authors to showcase their latest works through readings and discussions.
During the event, the fair operated daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the exception of the final day closing at 5:00 p.m. This schedule allowed ample time for attendees to explore the offerings and participate in various activities.
